What is Unmanaged VPS Hosting & Recommendations Transcript:

Hello everyone, Carson here and welcome back to my channel. Now in today’s video, I just wanted to really quickly run you through what unmanaged, VPS hosting is and what it can do for you. Before we do get into this video, though, just a reminder, of course, to actually check out my link in the description, because I’ve got a link to a really good VPS post in the description below.

So you can check it out if you would like this is my recommended VPS host of 2021. But now let’s get into the video. Now I managed VPS hosting simply put is like getting a raw operating system or a raw server and having to do all the work yourself. Now what this does is it basically forces you to have a more technical understanding of VPS, or virtual private server hosting or just web hosting.

In general, if your VPS server is not managed, it’s not going to provide you with as much information and as much hand holding as a managed VPS server would a managed VPS hosting plan essentially just lets you have a manage aspect to it, which means you’re going to have more user friendly abilities and features in your VBS plan. Because of this, I usually don’t recommend unmanaged VPS plans to people and to my clients.

unmanaged VPS is much more technical. And because of this, it’s better suited for a computer technician or internet technician or just a web hosting expert who knows exactly how to set it up for the best results. If you don’t know it’s much easier to go with a managed VPS which is actually why the link in the description which I have is a managed VPS. It’s one of the best budget managed VPS is of 2021.

So if you want to check that out, you can but just to recap, unmanaged VPS hosting is a virtual private server which is basically getting your own emulated server stored on a data center however it is unmanaged which which basically means that everything is up to you and you are responsible for installing and managing every part of it. That is going to do it for today’s video though. So remember to leave a like subscribe and of course hit that notification bell and I will see you in the next video.
