Is VPS Hosting Faster Than Shared Hosting? Transcript:
Hello everyone, Carson here and welcome back to my channel. Now in today’s video, I wanted to really quickly run you through a VPS hosting is faster than shared hosting. Now the shortest answer to that question is it heavily depends on the VPS host and the shared host. There are a lot of VPS hosting platforms that are ultimately very subpar.
And those will not be faster than shared hosting. If, however, you do get a very good, very well priced and very fast VPS hosting system, like for example, the one I have linked in the description below which you can check out if you are looking for a good VPS. If you go with a VPS like that, it’s almost undoubtedly faster than shared hosting.
The reason for this is that VPS hosting just supports a more scalable and high performance system overall, especially when your VPS host does allow you to use SSD hosting or when SSD hosting is essentially the norm for that VPS hosting platform. There is really no competition in my opinion between shared hosting and VPS. Hosting.
shared hosting by nature shares the resources of the server which you are using, which will will result in more downtime and slower speeds. On the other hand VPS hosting, especially like the one I linked in the description actually allocates resources for you from a server, which means that your website will never slow down.
That is basically going to be it for this video though. I just wanted to really quickly recap and answer the question of if VPS hosting is faster than shared hosting because a lot of people do have that question. A lot of people are wondering that, but I wanted to answer it for certain that is going to do it for today’s video though. So thanks for watching and I will see you in the next video.
